  • 1. What is the Jerusalem Business Networking Forum (JBNF)?
     

    The brainchild of entrepreneur and visionary Joe Van Zwaren, the Jerusalem Business Networking Forum (JBNF) was founded in 2006 to facilitate to growth of and advocacy for Jerusalem-based businesses. To learn more please visit us here.

  • 2. Why should you join JBNF?
     

    You can make serious business contacts when you attend a JBNF meeting. But, there is more. By joining JBNF, you become part of the greater Jerusalem business community, adding your business contact details to our database soon to be searchable by all JBNF members. You received periodic announcements of more than just JBNF events (JBNF promises it not to exceed monthly unless something special comes up). But more than that, you add your name to those who support strengthening Jerusalem as a business center.

  • 4. What can you expect at a JBNF event?
     

    Our events are held once a month usually at the Lev Academic Center (Jerusalem College of Technology also known as Machon Lev). Held during the evening, our events include informal networking and presentations by 1-3 speakers, depending upon the topic being presented. The presentations last approximately 20-30 minutes on a topic that is relevant to our membership but that ultimately relates to the growth of business in the greater Jerusalem area. Finally, a short question and answer session is moderated by one of the members of the JBNF Executive Team. For more information, please visit us here.

  • 5. How do I join JBNF?
     

    Please visit the  join jbnf page on this site. There we ask you to fill in your information to be included in the soon-to be available private searchable database for JBNF members. After that, we ask you to visit http://meetup.com/jersalemBNF/ so that you join our Meetup group and are included in our Meetup event scheduler.

  • 6. How much does a JBNF event cost?
     

    Due to our generous sponsorships, a small donation is requested at most JBNF events. However, we want to be able to add value to the JBNF experience and don’t want the amount to discourage anyone from participating. We are currently charging NIS 20 per event. Special events may require a charge, but the amount will be clearly stated in the event announcement.

  • 7. In what language are JBNF events conducted?
     

    Usually, JBNF events are conducted in English. Occasionally, an event is held in Hebrew. If so, it will be clearly stated in the event announcement.

  • 8. How can I make the most of my JBNF experience? Do you have any tips?
     

    The key to participating in JBNF is to take advantage of the networking time and the opportunity to meet new business contacts. You also want to strengthen the relationships you may have formed at previous events.     JBNF‘s primary goal is to help Jerusalem area-based businesses locate and acquire the investors, VCs, partners, clients, employers, employees, partners, etc. that they need to enhance their products and services. JBNF gives you the opportunity to meet people that can be potentially any of these and help you build business relationships for both the short and long term.
